This accessory to a Tjernlund Water Heater Venting Package (VP-2) will prevent the need to re-light the water heater’s pilot after an electrical power interruption. 

The Pilot Saver is simply a pair of gas compression fittings that allow the VP-2’s Solenoid Valve to be located after the water heater’s gas valve, attached to the main burner line.  These compression fittings assure a leak proof installation. 

The Pilot Saver may only be used on water heaters whose main burner line is rigid metal tubing (rather than corrugated tubing) and where there is a minimum of 4 inches of straight, rigid tubing to accommodate the Solenoid Valve.
